Effects of Gibberellin on the Fruit Development of Vigorous Shoot and Weak Shoot in the Grape (Muscat of Alexandria)

Abstract
|
|
|
The experiment was studied to determine the effects of various concentration of Gibberellin treatment on the fruit development of vigorous shoot and weak shoot.
The results obtained can be summerized as follows:
1. The cluster of vigorous shoot decreased its weight by Gibberellin treatment, except that the 50 ppm treatment block was effective than control. The cluster of weak shoot was shown to decrease its growth and treatment on weak shoot appeared to be more decreased than vigorous shoot and the cause of decreasing seems chemical injury dependent on interrelation of tree vigour and treatment concentration.
2. The cluster on vigorous shoot was shown more increasing their width in 50 ppm treatment block than control and shown most increasing in 100 ppm block. but weak shoot was shown hinderance of growing in 50 ppm block and did not show significant difference between 100 ppm and control.
3. Length of cluster was increased on 50 ppm treatment of vigorous shoot. There was not shown, however, any difference between the cluster of 100 ppm and control. With the Gibberellin treatment on weak shout the elongation was restrained than control, and the 110 ppm block was more restrained.
4. When the gibberellin treatment was done, sugar content was increased. With the 100 ppm treatment on vigorous shoot sugar content was remarkable increased and was 18.3%. On occasion of weak shoot in control, the sugar content was the least, 12.1%.
